Todays @wolfstarmicrofic prompt is wizard, and I’m doing my best to get back into my more substantial projects, I promise
(569 words.)
“Mr Lupin, you are, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the most infuriating wizards we have had! Would you care to tell me why the entirety of your charms class started laughing uncontrollably apart from you?” Minerva asked, arms folding. He merely shrugged, casual smile playing across his face.
“Dunno, Minnie. Must’ve dodged the charm.”
“And you expect me to believe that? Flitwick has been undoing this all afternoon! I’m going to assume Mr Potter had a hand in this.” Another shrug, and another wave of frustration over Minerva.
“Couldn’t tell you.”
Minerva runs an irritated hand over her face, stopping to rest at her temple for a moment.
“Merlin, I’m going to have to call your parents in, aren’t I?”
“If you wanted to.”
Without another word, Minerva pulled her desk drawer open, grabbed a piece of parchment and a quill, and wrote to his parents, purposefully avoiding the phrase ‘little shit’ as she went.
“Wotcher, Minnie!” Sirius chirped, strolling down the corridor and shooting her a smile.
“You haven’t changed one bit, have you?” She said back, unable to hide her own smile at his infectious cheer. Remus wrapped an arm around Sirius’ waist.
“What’s our son gone and done?” He asked, and Minerva exhaled, watching them pointedly.
“Jinxed the entirety of his class into uncontrollable laughter.” A pause, and Sirius chuckled heartily.
“Oh, that’s bloody brilliant! How long’d it take to undo?” Remus, quite clearly biting back his own laughter, turned to his husband.
“Sirius! We have to be adults, here.”
“Please, Moony, we did way worse.”
“Mmm, we did. Still, not the time to go on some big tangent about that time we accidentally made everyone in the castle sing for 6 days.”
“You told him that?” Minerva asked, stunned.
“…maybe. To be fair, I did tell him how long we were in detention for!”
“You told him about how it made us get together.” Remus added.
“Well, you told him about the quidditch commentating incident!” Sirius protested.
“And you told him about chucking all of the Slytherin’s luggage into the black lake.”
“Yeah, I don’t think a lecture from us will be as impactful as we want it to be.” Sirius concluded.
“It’s fine, I’ve got a plan.” Remus waved him off easily.
They followed Minerva to her office, where Teddy was sitting with his arms crossed. He turned his head at the arrival of his parents, smiling like he had done absolutely nothing wrong.
“Hey, dads.”
“Professor McGonnagal here tells us that you’ve been tormenting your class?” Teddy just shrugged.
“Don’t know what you’re on about. No evidence.” Remus swiftly nudged Sirius to make sure he didn’t start laughing again.
“Well, I’m glad I’ll be able to start keeping an eye on you, then!” Remus said cheerfully, feigned relief flooding through his voice. They all watched as Teddy’s face dropped.
“What?”
“Oh, did I not tell you? I accepted a position here. Starting in September. I’m your new DADA professor.”
“You’re not.” Teddy said, voice low, like he was trying to talk Remus out of it.
“Mm, but I am.” He said with a tranquil smile, turning to Sirius, who nodded. Minerva watched the interaction and tried to keep from chuckling.
She hadn’t realised that Remus had accepted the offer yet, but she was so fucking glad that he had.
With a casual clearing of the throat, she leaned in and added,
“You’ll be serving all of your detentions with me.”

Hi Jade! I had an idea for a request! I was thinking about reader with a really low sex drive and maybe one day she starts to get a little worried and insecure about it and one of the boys just reassures her that he doesn’t care about it<3 idk if that made sense but write for whatever boy you want to I don’t have a preference love you 😚
How Remus, James and Sirius would comfort you when you worry your low libido is a problem. fem, 2.2k
❥ Remus
Remus sits with his legs crossed in the corner of the settee, a book open on his thigh, though his attention has been caught and kept by the TV.
You think some grovelling may be in order after last night. Quiet, you round the settee and climb onto the seat next to his, body turned away from the TV, arm creeping onto his thigh.
“Hi,” he says.
“Hi.”
He encourages you closer, leaning back to give you room to lie on him. His right arm does most of the work to keep you up, sandwiching you to his chest, an almost not quite hug. “What’s wrong?” he asks.
“How do you know something is wrong?”
He taps your back with his fingers, looking up at the ceiling with a sarcastic smile. “What could it be?”
The hints of green in his irises are more pronounced when he’s sitting in the sun like this, rays cutting in through the window, turning his pale skin slightly tanned and his hair a warmer chestnut colour that curls behind his ears. The scar on his lip relaxes as his joking smile fades to a proper one, a lovey-dovey type that melts you. It’s nice to be looked at so nicely, like just the sight of you inspires happiness.
You shift off of your legs, deciding you might as well lay flat with your head in his lap instead. He lets you sink down. His hand takes up station near your cheek, the back of his curled fingers brushing the skin just shy of your eye.
“This is nice,” he whispers.
“I have to say sorry,” you whisper back, drawing shapes into his t-shirt, the soft muscle of his stomach pillowy to poke.
Remus nods emphatically. “Yes, you didn’t come and see me as soon as you woke up. I heard you on your phone in bed. That’s not very nice, is it, depriving me of your company?”
You shake your head into his thigh, a slow, guilty movement. “No, about last night.”
“What about last night?”
Last night, Remus had given you a very slow kiss. He’d been half asleep and you’d been more so, but it was a lovely kiss and his hand had been rubbing sweet half circles into your hip, but it still made you feel awful when he asked if he could touch you and you’d told him you were too tired, even if he didn’t mind. He’d just kissed your cheek and snuggled into you like a life-sized teddy bear. He never takes your rejection as an insult.
“You… you wanted to fuck and I didn’t, I’m sorry. I feel like every time you ask lately I say no.”
Remus frowns at you. Deep frown, eyebrows pinching and brown eyes bordering sullen. His fingers uncurl over your cheek and cover your ear as he cups your face. “I don’t want you to be sorry. The reason I ask is so you can say no, you can always say no.”
“I kiss you, and I wind you up, and then I can’t–”
“Which I enjoy. You don’t have to worry about that.” He leans down to kiss you but doesn’t fully get there, your noses touching, and then he’s leaning away again. “Please don’t say sorry. You know you don’t have to do anything you don’t want to.”
“I know that. I’m not trying to make you into the bad guy.”
Remus taps your nose with his and leans in again. “I know you’re not. You aren’t one either. Sex is just another fun thing to do, okay? If you don’t want to, that shouldn’t bother me, and it doesn’t. I promise.”
You curl your arms around his neck. He lifts his head, subsequently lifting you as he moves, his arm curling behind your back for a hug.
“Sometimes I want more of you than you want to give,” he says, “but it’s just because I love you, not because I need it. Don’t be silly, dove. Don’t say sorry.”
He presses the heel of his palm to your back and begins the heavy pressure of a back rub. You won’t say sorry if he doesn’t want you to. You shouldn’t anyways. But he’s your boyfriend and you love him, so his being accepting of it is a relief.
Like he can read your mind, he says, “You never have to say sorry for this.”
“I know.” You lift your chin. “Kiss?”
Remus kisses you quickly before tucking you into his neck for a long hug.
❥ James
“You’re beautiful.”
You’re boiling. James doesn’t notice, kissing and kissing and kissing, your neck flushed with his touch and his murmured compliment. “James.”
He tilts his head, weaving in on the other side of your neck to give it the same loving treatment. “Pretty doesn’t cover it,” he says in a rush, his teeth scratching dully up to your jaw, his kissing like nips without any pain behind them as he reaches your cheek.
You catch his face in your hands and push him away gently. It’s so hot in here you can’t breathe, and you’re not in the mood for any further action. It’s funny. You adore his kisses and James is undeniably a good fuck, but your libido is low no matter how pretty your boyfriend is, or how pretty he finds you. You’d always wondered if that meant there was something wrong with you.
James doesn’t seem to think so.
“Sorry,” he says, beaming, “that’s enough, right?”
You feel a weird sharp stab in your chest. “Sorry?”
“I’m getting ahead of myself.” James sits up where he’d been lying on top of you, having manoeuvred such a position in the midst of all his warm kisses. He sits back on his calves, kneeling in the space between your legs, a hand falling instead to your knee. “It’s fucking hot in here, isn’t it?”
“Sorry.”
“Did you make it hot?”
You look at your hand on your chest. He’s noticed you don’t want to take it any further, you hardly ever do. You knew he’d see that eventually. You have the libido of a panda, where James is an athletic young man who loves you.
“No, I mean. I’m sorry, because I never want to when you want to.”
Your serious tone surprises him. “Baby, what the fuck are you talking about?” he asks. “I am so lost.”
“Just– Most of the time when you try to sleep with me I turn you down. You know already.”
“Baby, that doesn’t matter.” He leans in again, only to hold your wrists, two big hands curled around your arms to stop your fidgeting. Two pet names in quick succession is unlike him, and it relaxes you before he’s begun to explain. “It doesn’t matter at all. Just makes it better when we do manage to want it at the same time.”
You grimace. “Are you sure?”
“You want me to be honest?”
You’re not sure. “Yeah. Please be honest.”
“Sometimes we kiss and you know I want you,” his eyes dart down, prompting a surprised laugh from you, and an easy chuckle from him in return, “and it’s frustrating, but it’s not ‘cos of you. I can go shower and sort myself out and it’s not the same as being with you, but it’s not your fault. It’s just a reaction.”
“But I feel bad for making you deal with it yourself.”
“What are you supposed to do? You can’t force yourself if you’re not in the mood. That’s the last thing I want you to do. I’d rather have it fall off.”
You laugh again. James’ smile is glowing, and warm as he presses it to your wrist in a chaste kiss. “We can do other things. If you feel that badly about it, you can give me a scalp massage, please. You shouldn’t feel badly about it, but still. If you’re okay with it, I’d love one.”
He presses his cheek to your chest in want of your hand.
You press your fingertips to his hairline and weave your fingers into the roots of his soft hair, shaking them, nails scratching lightly at his scalp like you know he likes. “How’s that?” you ask.
“Better than sex.” He is unmistakably sincere.
❥ Sirius
“Did you lock the door?”
Sirius hums.
“Close the kitchen window?”
“I did,” he says, waving your hand gently where he’s holding it between you both. You lay straight in bed with the duvet up to your chests and the TV playing one of his favourite movies.
“Okay. Did you take your medication?”
“Yeah, sweetheart. Everything’s done. You can relax.”
You pick your book up and open it to the first page. You’ve been meaning to read this one for a while, you’re happy to get the time, but you’re feeling queasy about something.
Sirius is a loud guy. He loves the glitz and glamour of life, he likes to go out, play fast and hard, he’s electric most of the time. He can be quiet, too, like you tend to be, but you’re worried that you’re another night closer to him deciding he’s bored. It’s been weeks since you went anywhere, and you haven’t fucked in almost as long.
“Can I have this?” he asks, pulling your hand to his lips.
You smile as he kisses your knuckles, barely there presses of his lips to your skin that linger.
“You haven’t turned a page yet.”
“It’s hard to start,” you tell him.
“What’s it about? Fantasy?”
“No, just a romance, I think.”
“I like your romances. You read the complicated ones with the good love, like ours.”
It’s a very nice thing to say, even if you’re not sure how he knows what romance you’re reading. He enjoys listening to you talk about books when they’re done, so perhaps the details have sunk in.
You let the book flop to the side and curl up around your joined hands. “I love you,” you say.
He curls into you in return, “You should. That was a good line,” he says teasingly. “I love you too, my girl.” He speaks it with a quiet, gentle cadence that suits him and the pet name well. “Lift your head. Wanna see you.”
You angle your face up to give him a view of the half that isn’t hidden by the sheets. “I’m so boring.”
“Says who?”
“Everybody, probably. All we do is watch TV and sleep.”
“Good thing I love both of those things.” He wraps an arm around you, palm to your shoulder. “And it’s not true. We went to the cafe yesterday after work. On the weekend, we’re going to the cinema. Why, do you want to do more?”
“It’s not me I’m worried about, Siri. Aren’t you bored?”
He stares at you. Long, non-judgmental looking, his dark lashes kissing in the corners as his gaze wanders down to your neck. “Is this about something else?”
“No.”
His mouth turns sympathetic, a wobbly frown. “Are you sure, lovely? You can talk to me.”
You weigh each word as you say it, determined not to embarrass yourself, “I’m worried that I don’t make your life very interesting. We don’t go out much, we don’t drink, and I never…”
You turn your face down, your forehead to his chest. Sirius hums unhappily and encourages your head back to see you again almost immediately. “You never what?” he asks.
“Never mind.”
“No, please. Tell me, Y/N. You can tell me anything, I won’t care.” He’s getting so serious about it and it’s making it even more embarrassing than before, but you don’t want him to worry. You spit it out.
“I don’t put out. We hardly ever have sex.”
“Does that upset you?” he asks.
“Well. It upsets me if it upsets you.”
“It doesn’t.” His hand cups your cheek, his forehead drops down to yours. “It doesn’t upset me. Did I make you think that?”
“You’re just so cool and I’m your loser.”
He laughs happily. “You’re my loser,” he agrees.
“The last couple of times I’ve said no. I guess I just worry you want more than I’m giving out, so. I don’t want you to wish we were having more sex, but I can’t make myself want it more.”
“I see.”
You listen to him breathing, the warmth of his exhale like a kiss all its own as it fans over your mouth.
He rubs your cheek with his thumb. “Can I tell you what I think?” You nod, and he continues, “I only want to have sex with you, that’s one of the consequences of being in love. It’s a good one. So if you don’t wanna have sex, it’s safe to say I don’t want to either. Okay? Love you just as much with or without it.”
Unlike him and not to be this tender. You bite the inside of your lip.
“Promise?” you ask.
“I promise.”

The start of this may have gotten away from me a little bit, lol.
--
Remus was sitting on the sofa, thumbing through a book. It was late in the night, only the soft, golden glow from the lampshade illuminating the space. It was quiet. Almost too quiet.
"What are you still doing up?" a delicate voice echoed from down the hall. Remus looked up to see your figure, standing in the hallway, dressed in a silky black nightgown. You had a somewhat mischievous twinkle in your eye as you gazed down at him.
"I couldn't sleep," he told you cautiously.
He expected you to nod and head into the kitchen for a glass of water or something of that nature, but instead, you took a step towards him.
"Well that's too bad," you muttered, your tone low and a smirk taking hold of your features.
"Although," you continued. "Lucky for me. I've been waiting to get you alone for a while now."
Remus had the heart too look surprised.
"I- huh?"
"That's right," you drawled. "What'dya say? Want to have some fun?"
You dropped your robe then revealing a lacy black teddy underneath, one that hugged your curves and cupped your breasts perfectly.
Remus' eyes widened and he felt his jaw drop open in pure shock as you walked towards him, your hair falling in gentle waves down your shoulders and eyes ablaze with lust. When you reached him, you sat yourself down in his waiting lap, entwining your arms around his neck.
Then, with a passionate moan, you pushed your lips against his, kissing him passionately and with an intense hunger, like your skin was craving his touch.
He found himself kissing you back, his large hands finding their place on your hips, fingertips digging into your flesh desperately.
Then, after a moment, he raked himself away.
"Wait, hold on," he muttered, desperate to feel your lips on his once more but restraining himself in the name of morality. "We can't do this. What about James?"
You looked down at him seductively, your lips swollen, red lipstick smudged across your chin.
"It's okay," you shrugged. "He can join us."
Remus turned his gaze to the right to find James laid out beside him on the couch like a Greek statue, clad in only a pair of grey boxers, chiseled chest on display and exposed to the world.
He reached out, gripping Remus' chin between his fingers and turning the man's head towards him so that their faces were only inches apart.
"Couldn't let you guys have all the fun, could I?" the man murmered, his breath fanning Remus' cheek.
Then, he too pressed their lips together. At the same time, you dug your fingers into the seam of Remus' button up shirt, ripping it open in a swift movement, and running your fingers down his bare chest.
Remus couldn't help but moan against James' lips.
"You like that, handsome?"
Remus pulled away, looking back up at you as another voice rang out through the room. And there was Sirius, positioned behind you, looking down at him over your shoulder, with a hand tangled in your long locks of hair as his own head rested gently in the nape of your neck.
Then, he looked downwards, placing gentle kisses along your collarbone as James began to do the same to him.
"You're in for a treat tonight," James whispered.
--
Remus sat up in bed, his eyes wide and his heart racing. He was disoriented as he looked around the room. The sun had broken in through the crack between his curtains, indicating it was morning.
He shook his head, as he ran a hand through his hair, trying to blink away the memory of the... peculiar dream he'd just had.
He swung his legs over the side if the bed, slowly making his way into the living room in search of a distraction.
He found you in the kitchen, clad in one of James' oversized t-shirts, as you stood over a pan of sizzling eggs.
James was also in the kitchen, clattering around in the cupboards as he prepared a couple of cups of tea. Remus gulped thickly as his eyes raked over James' shirtless torso.
"Ah, Rem, mate!" James exclaimed when his eyes landed on his friend. "We were just making some breakfast. Do you want some?"
He blinked up at James for a moment. "Hm?"
"Do you want some breakfast? or tea?"
"Oh, yes, tea would be great."
Remus took a seat at the kitchen island and ran a hand over his face. He watched as James maneuvered around you, pressing a kiss to your cheek.
The last few weeks with James had been pure bliss. If James Potter was anything, it was loving and he completely showered you with affection in every way possible.
He took you out on fancy dates and held the door for you, he bathed you in a slew of constant compliments and he always made sure that you never went a day without a fresh bouquet of flowers by your bed. He was the perfect gentleman.
However, despite everything being so wonderful with James, you couldn't shake the feeling that something was... missing? Like everything was almost perfect.
You had no idea what it was and were feeling immensely guilty about feeling it at all. James had been completely wonderful. You did your best to swallow those feelings down, blaming it on the anxiety of being in a fresh relationship. You hoped it would begin to fade with time, as the two of you grew more comfortable together.
"Where's Sirius?" Remus questioned as James placed a mug of tea in front of him.
"Still sleeping, I think," you replied, serving up some scrambled eggs on toast and dishing it up onto two plates for yourself and James. "He had a gig last night. He was out until pretty late."
Speak of the devil, it was at that moment that Sirius made his way into the kitchen, dragging his feet and running a hand through his unruly hair. He had eyeliner smudged down his face, like he'd forgotten to take it off last night before he went to bed.
"Someone's had a good night," James teased, coming up behind you to wrap an arm around your waist where you stood, bent over the bench, eating your breakfast.
"Yeah, ha-ha," Sirius shot back.
Remus raised his brow, noticing the twitch of Sirius' lip as he observed the way that you and James were snuggled up together, all lovey-dovey.
Remus had noticed things were weird between the three of you. The way his gaze lingered on the two of you, his jaw twitching when he looked away.
"We're going to see a movie today. Do either of you want to join us?" James asked and Remus couldn't help but notice the way Sirius grimaced at the offer.
"Sorry, but I've uh- got stuff to do today."
James rolled his eyes. "Stuff meaning going back to bed and sleeping 'till 4pm I presume?"
"You know be too well, mate," Sirius responded.
"Remus, how about you?"
Remus mustered a small smile, drawing his eyes away from where your arm was wrapped around his friend's waist. He did his best to push back memories from his dream.
"I have to study," he lied.
James shrugged. "Alright, suit yourselves. Come on love, let's get ready."
He placed a gentle peck on your lips before the two of you made your exit.
"Blegh," Sirius muttered as he watched you go. "Disgusting."
---
It was late in the afternoon and Remus was sitting on his bed, engulfed in his latest reading endeavor. He hadn't done all that much today apart from drift around the apartment, tidying up a little and watching some random drama show from the early 2000s on TV while he ate his lunch.
Throughout the day, his mind kept drifting back to the dream he'd had the night prior. It was strange. He'd never dreamt anything like it before.
Of course, he'd had a dream here and there about Sirius, especially back when they briefly dated. But a dream about all 3 of his roommates at the same time? It was positively outlandish.
He was broken from his thoughts by a knock at the door.
"Come in, Sirius," he called.
The man was looking better, slightly less disheveled than he had earlier in the day and Remus expected a long afternoon nap and a hot shower to be the source.
He was dressed in tracksuit pants and an old band t-shirt from some concert he'd been to back in high school.
"What are you doing?" He asked, running a hand through his mattered curls.
"What does it look like? I'm reading," Remus responded snarkily.
Sirius chuckled. Then he moved across the room and threw himself down on the bed beside him. Remus tensed at the feeling of Sirius' his pressed against his own, memories from his dream flooding back and making his face flush red.
He cleared his throat, doing his best to act natural.
"There's something I wanted to talk to you about," Sirius muttered.
"And what would that be?"
"Well," he sighed, laying back against the pillows behind him. "It's about James and Y/n. I mean, don't you think it's... weird? That they're together now, I mean."
Remus raised a brow at his friend. "Not particularly. They seem happy."
"But that's sort of the problem," Sirius continued. "They're too happy, it's revolting."
"So you don't want your best friend to be happy?"
"No it's not that," Sirius sighed in frustration, like he wasn't able to find the right words. "I just don't think they need to rub it in our faces so much, you know?"
Remus placed his book down, turning his full attention towards the man beside him.
"Okay, what's really going on here? Are you jealous that James isn't spending as much time with you now that he has a girlfriend?"
Sirius shook his head. "No it's not that. I just- I don't know."
Remus sighed, reaching a hand out to brush a strand of hair behind Sirius' ear before he could stop himself. The action just felt so natural. It reminded of him of how they once were, all those years ago.
"Maybe I'm just jealous of what they have."
There was a pause while the boys sat there in silence. The air in the room was thick with tension as Remus' eyes grazed over Sirius' features. He was impressively beautiful in the dim light of the bedroom.
"Do you ever think about us, Remus?"
The words were soft and breathy on Sirius' tongue and Remus' eyes widened as the question hung in the air between them.
After a moment, he sighed. "All the time."
Sirius inhaled sharply, his pink lips parted ever so slightly as he blinked up at his friend with stormy, grey eyes full of yearning. Remus hadn't seen Sirius look at him like that for a long time (or maybe he just hadn't noticed it until now).
"Do you ever think that maybe we made a mistake? Y'know, leaving that behind."
"Honestly? I don't know," Remus responded. And it was the truth.
He could admit, his feelings for Sirius had never truly died but at the same time, they'd been so bad for each other back then. They were stupid immature teenagers. They didn't know how to be there for each other. But they were older now. More mature, more resilient. Things weren't the same as they used to be.
"Do you ever think that we should try again?"
Sirius was leaning into him now, their faces only inches apart. He felt Sirius' breath hot against his skin.
Remus couldn't take it anymore. He leaned forward and kissed him.

Historian - May 31 - word count: 538 - @wolfstarmicrofic
The curator led a group of children down the museum hallway.
“Next we have a series of written letters from two best friends to one another. These are from around fifty years ago,” she announced, passing out pamphlets. “You can read the contents in these.”
There were five letters.
The first one read:
Remus,
I’ve run. I’m staying with James now.
Moony, please, I know I hurt you- but I can’t wait another day without seeing your face. I miss you so bad it feels like my soul hurts, Remus. I don’t know what to do.
James has tried contacting you, but my guess is that you haven’t received any of his letters. Let me sum up the latest one: “Remus, Sirius is staying with me now, since his dear old mother decided to nearly kill him. Don't worry, though, he looks just as beautiful as usual.”
God, I can practically picture you smirking at that.
Anyways, come soon. Miss you. Don’t hate me, please. I swear it was an accident.
Love, Padfoot.
The second one was in a similar fashion.
Sirius,
What? That’s… quite the bomb to drop.
Oh my God. I had no idea, I’m so sorry. Of course I’m coming, Padfoot. Nothing could keep me away from you right now.
That old hag. I’m going to kill her.
What gave you the idea that I hate you at all? I never did, never will. Sure, you might’ve messed up a bit, but that doesn’t mean I hate you. We all make mistakes.
Speaking of mistakes, your mother. Where is she, and when does she sleep? I’ve a plan to get rid of her, especially for doing whatever she did to you.
I’ll be there the day after you get this letter, which is in a day, give or take a few hours. Miss you too. I would never hate you, and I know. I forgive you, Sirius.
Yours, Moony.
A little boy raised his hand after reading the second letter. “Miss, are you sure that they were just friends?”
“Well, yes,” the curator said, going a bit red. “Our historians checked.”
“I think your historians were wrong, then,” the boy frowned. “See, friends don’t sign letters off with ‘love’ or ‘yours’, do they?”
“They were very good friends,” the woman blustered.
“...right.”
“Teddy,” the teacher scolded. “Apologise to Ms. Heather, will you? She’s the expert here.”
“No.” Teddy crossed his arms, staring the adults down as his classmates whispered behind him. “You’re wrong.”
“And how do you know, Mr. Lupin?” The curator crossed her arms right back, face stormy.
Teddy almost facepalmed. “Because the fifth letter from Sirius literally has lipstick markings on it? Are your ‘experts’ blind?”
“He could’ve been sending love to his best friend, Mr. Lupin.”
“They professed their love for one another in the fourth and fifth letters,” Teddy deadpanned.
“That’s it, Teddy,” his teacher said. “I’m calling your father. What’s his name?”
“Well, I have two, as you should know.”
The teacher tapped their foot impatiently. “And what’re their names?”
Teddy held back his grin. “One’s called Sirius, and the other one’s called Remus. Or you can call Uncle James, he wouldn't mind.”
The class behind him exploded in laughter.

you guys that keep assigning the marauders to one direction members have got it all wrong because you don’t know their hearts and their souls like i do!!! nobody asked me so im telling you my in-depth analysis anyways.
credentials:
i ran a larry account and still have zayn as my pfp. suck it.
i’m tired of you all leaving out louis so he’s going first as a very obvious sirius black. you keep assigning zayn because he’s gorgeous and wears a leather jacket but louis is literally right there pulling pranks, playing sports on the side, and having gay allegations thrown his way and you’re all just ignoring it and i’m SICK OF IT!!!!! NOT TO MENTION!!! HE IS ALSO GORGEOUS!!! AND ALSO CAN WEAR A LEATHER JACKET!!!!
liam is peter. you’re all blinded by the teddy bear nature of his face pre-surgery but if you even slightly kept up with them you’d know that he tried and failed to be as big as the other members on his own so he had to settle for talking shit about them on podcasts instead. and ykw!! liam was right when he said that he was supposed to be the front man, it was OBVIOUS (#whoremembers let niall sing) but it was even more obvious that a majority of people tuning into 1d were tuning in for harry, not liam. just like how peter was technically there first, best friend to james, but wasn’t the one people cared as much about. also yes, he’s dead but i also was keeping up with his allegations and went through hell online defending them as a teen so i’ll say what i want!!! liam died and i mourned for my childhood but he also objectively sucked at being a friend to the boys after the band!! he is my peter!!! he betrayed them and we would have never gotten a reunion anyways PURELY because of him (zouis would have made up eventually i just know it)
zayn is remus. boo me all you want but it’s true. zayn plays yu-gi-oh, he’s artistic, he owns a farm and can’t name the chickens because he’s afraid of getting attached. people who bought into the Bradford Bad Boy marketing tactic OPEN YOUR EYES!!! HE IS A NERD!!!!! HE IS A SOFTY!!!! HE HAS SOCIAL ANXIETY THAT HE OVERCOMES FOR HIS KID!!! he’s remus. i’ll accept no other answers.
niall is james! “but issitcasual-“ i don’t wanna hear it! niall gets away with fucking EVERYTHING!!! he caused a feud between ed sheeran and ellie goulding and came out of it completely unscathed. his biggest controversy is the japan incident and not seasoning his chicken. niall fans practically grew up in a stable household with 2 loving parents and its all because niall is a beloved creature of this earth. he can’t do wrong he’s a golden boy and so is james.
harry is the only one i could accept multiple answers for but they’re all still wrong answers because honestly??? i don’t think harry really knows himself yet or isn’t showing us that actual version of himself and is just relying on really good marketing (valid honestly the north remembers how you all treated underaged harry styles) some days he’s remus some days he’s sirius some days he’s james but most days to me he’s marlene. i think he struggles with his identity in a lot of ways that ive seen marlene portrayed, i think that he’s changed and grown a lot which is usually something i see done with marlene’s character (like after her trip in tcoptp). I think no matter if its sexuality or just fashion or personality that he has a lot of discovering to do still.
until then i’d also slightly accept harry as remus for wolfstar/larry purposes.
thanks for coming to my ted talk i have thought way too much about this

Coach Pitch
To kick off @wolfstarbingo2025 , I filled my first square: Sports AU.
Summary: Sirius and James coach Harry's Little league team. It's annoying when other parents try to give them advice about how to do it. But when Remus Lupin gives them a valuable tip, Sirius takes notice and decides maybe getting that advice isn't so bad.
Snippet:
Who was this, giving instructions to his and James’ team?
It didn’t matter, Sirius decided. He pitched to Teddy again and Teddy hit it down the first base line. “Run!” James said, pointing and Teddy took off, kicking up some of the dirt around the mound as he did. The other kids on the bench were cheering as Teddy skidded to a stop at first base. He beamed at them as he kept one foot on the base.
“Good job, Teddy,” came the voice from the stands. Sirius refrained from rolling his eyes. This was just practice. The parents would have ample time to cheer their kids on at the game this weekend.
When practice was over, Teddy went over to the man who’d helped him earlier. Sirius could see now that they were clearly related. And that Teddy apparently had very good genes, because this man was gorgeous. Tall, golden skin, messy curls, piercing eyes… Sirius couldn’t help noticing. “Hi,” Sirius said. “I don’t think we’ve met. I’m Sirius Black, one of Teddy’s coaches.” He held out his hand and the other man shook it.
“I’m Remus Lupin, Teddy’s dad,” he replied.

🐺✨ The Ship Which Must Not Be Named: A Lighthearted Reality Check 🧠💥
Let’s talk about that ship. You know the one. The one that rhymes with Smolfscar. The one whose fans accuse you of crimes against literature if you dare ship anything else. The one that erases canon, Tonks, Teddy, and basic personality traits faster than you can say "full moon."
Let’s break it down with a little peace, a little humour, and a dash of canon-based clarity.
☕ Toxicity Level: Azkaban With No Trial
Sirius Black, everyone’s favorite brooding biker uncle, once:
• Wished for a full moon (aka wished Remus would transform into a deadly monster) out of boredom.
• Deliberately led Snape to Remus during a full moon, risking Snape’s life, Remus’ secret, and Remus’ freedom.
• Didn't even show regret year later.
• Left Remus absolutely nothing in his will, even though he knew Remus was living in extreme poverty, unable to find work due to anti-werewolf laws. But sure... soulmates, right?
Let’s not forget the cherry on top:
Sirius didn’t trust Remus. He thought Remus was the traitor in the First War. He literally convinced James and Lily to trust Peter Pettigrew instead.
That’s not love. That’s emotional negligence with a leather jacket.
🧠 “But It’s Just Fanon!”
Exactly! And fanon is awesome — when it knows it's fanon. The problem is when some people treat it like gospel, and worse, weaponize it.
Remus Lupin is not a cardigan-wrapped background extra waiting to be scooped up by Sirius. He’s a war-scarred, deeply moral man who believes he doesn’t deserve happiness — but fights for others' anyway.
And Tonks? Not a villain. Not a beard. Not an obstacle. She’s his canon partner who chose him, loved him, and died beside him. They had a son, Teddy, who exists. You can’t just delete him like a bad tweet.
🤐 A Note on Actor Harassment
It’s one thing to ship fanon. It’s another to:
• Twist David Thewlis’ words to pretend he and Gary Oldman thought they were playing lovers (They didn’t);
• Ignore that Alfonso Cuarón told Thewlis to play Remus as a "gay junkie" (his words — not confirmation of Wolfstar, just a strange director choice);
• Harass actors online for not supporting a headcanon or refusing to talk about “your ship.”
Actors aren’t your fanfic beta readers. They’re people doing their job. Please stop making them regret it.
💡 Also: I Have My Own Ship!
I ship Remus with my original character, Mary Scamander (aka Maria), and in my very personal opinion? She works better than Tonks.
BUT! That doesn’t mean I bash Remadora. Or Tonks. Or Teddy. Because you can love your own ship without incinerating canon like it’s a Horcrux.
😇 A Peace Offering
Ship what you love. Write what makes you happy. Just don’t:
• Harass people who prefer canon;
• Accuse people of being bigots for liking Remadora or OC pairings;
• Pretend ATYD is a canon prequel;
• Call the actual canon "enemy territory."
Most of us - Canon and fanom lovers - love Remus Lupin. Let’s act like we do.
🪶 A tired Lupin Lover who just wants peace, nuance, and fanfiction that doesn't erase character arcs.
With kindness, canon, and exactly 0 werewolf-baiting pranks,
M.

Chapter 19: Silver Bird
When you come home, my crazy heart will greet those silver wings Your pet dog will remember you, and I'll carry your things We'll catch a runnin' make-up, and you will look just fine And you'll remain my friend, my friend until you're mine
It was finally Saturday, James had you arrive at the pitch an hour and a half before the match was going to start, so you could warm up properly. You still had thirty minutes to get there, and you were rummaging through your neverending chest to try and find the stupid blue undies you’d promised to wear.
“Is it this ones?” Mary asked, as she sat next to you.
You looked at the piece she had in her hand and you shook your head, “Those aren’t very comfortable for flying.”
She nodded and continued looking through the chest. Lily, who was looking through your dresser asked “You said cute, baby blue, matching set, right?”
“Yeah,” you responded, not looking at her yet.
“I think I’ve got them.” She said, taking the pair out and showing it to you. You beamed and got up from the floor towards her, giving her a quick kiss on the forehead “It’s perfect, thank you!” you said as you took them from her hands and went inside the bathroom.
“That was a very Sirius thing to do,” said Marlene from her bed as she laced her shoes.
Mary agreed “Sometimes they’re so alike it’s scary.”
“I don’t think so,” said Lily, with a hand on her chin. “She’s not that much like Sirius, if anything I’d say she’s more like Remus.”
“Remus? How?” Asked Beth, she had dropped by to get ready with the girls, they were all planning to use some coloured paint on their faces, along all the Gryffindor memorabilia they had gathered.
“Well, she’s responsible and caring. And she always helps everyone in the study clubs. And even if she hangs out with the boys all the time, she’s never gotten detention. Remus almost never gets detention either. They both know their way around it, somehow.”
“Well, when you say it like that…”
Finally, the door of the bathroom opened and you walked outside, your thick quidditch pants on, along with a simple shirt you were planning to wear underneath your quidditch sweater. You looked out the window, it was getting greyer and grayer “You think it’s gonna rain?” you asked.
“On the forecast, it said it wouldn’t,” said Beth, who had revised it on the papers at breakfast.
“But the current climate divintor is really bad,” complained Marlene “The other day I planned a picnic with Holden, and it said it would be sunny. We were in the middle of the way to the spot we’d found when a storm broke out, we had to use charms to stop the rain from ruining our day.”
“Better take the anti-slippery gloves then,” Beth said, as she picked out a pair from the ones you had laid out on the bed, “just in case.”
You nodded, and took them in your hands, before placing them on the small duffle bag in which you were packing the rest of your equipment. Including the Quidditch robes and anything other than the sweater and the pants. “You’ve already eaten right?” Mary asked.
“Yeah, like 2 hours ago,” you said with a nod “I wanted enough time to digest before flying.
“Brilliant idea!” she said with a smile “Last time Marlene ate last minute she was puking when the game ended.
“That’s because I got a bludger on the edge my broom and spinned around like 30 times,” she huffed, and then turned to you “Ready for your first game luv?”
“Born ready,” you said, with a little smirk.
Marlene mirrored your expression, “That’s exactly what I expected to hear.”
Once in the pitch, you spotted James and Teddy talking to each other, Davis and Gale were sitting on a bench, and you weren’t sure where Sirius was, that was until you felt someone hugged you from behind and planted a kiss on your cheek “You look stunning in those clothes Starshine,” he said as he tightened his grip around your waist.
Sirius was still hugging you when James asked everyone to gather closer to him. And he didn’t let go of you even as James spoke “This is the first match of the year, and we must give it our all! Ravenclaw has a fierce team, Holden is a brilliant seeker, Tobias and Penelope are fierce with the bludgers, they will try to hit every single one of us, and even if we have Sirius and Marlene to protect us, you need to keep an eye on the bludgers at all time. Especially you,” he said, giving you a look “They will try to throw you off your broom.”
You nodded as you took a deep breath, the seekers and the keepers always got the worst of the bludgers, you knew that already, but the seekers had a wider moving area, while as a keeper, you’d have to stay closer to the goals “I’ll have your back,” Sirius whispered in your ear as James continued his speech.
“Their chasers are good, I don’t know much of the newer kids but Adrian is fast, not as fast as you Gale, but fast regardless, keep an eye on him at all times, the further we keep their ball from our goals the better, even if we have (Y/N).”
Teddy intervened later “Just pay full attention to your surroundings at all times, we can beat them, we’ve trained enough.”
“Time for warm-up,” James said then, and had you do a couple of exercises before allowing you to go up in your brooms for a few laps around the pitch.
When you had 10 minutes left, James had you all come down to fasten all the quidditch protection equipment accordingly. He handed you a bag, with a thick brown helmet and a chest plate as well. “I forgot the keeper’s equipment was some of the less glamorous,” you said as you looked at them, he laughed.
“You know how to put it on, don’t you?”
You nodded, and dragged the items to the side, starting with the shin and knee protectors and slowly moving your way up to the chest.
Sirius, who had a lot less things to put on, was done before you and he walked closer to you “Need help?”
“I’m good,” you said as you continued fastening your arm protections. When you put on the breast protector, you started struggling with the fastening, and Sirius closed the gap between the two of you.
“Let me,” he said, his hands over yours, fastening the sides of the thing with ease “It’s that too tight?”
You shook your head, still grasping the fact that you weren’t alone anymore, that you could depend on him, on your new friends. You grabbed the helmet and turned to him “How do I look now?” you asked with a teasing smile, the helmet still held between your hands.
Sirius smirked before he answered “Ravishing.”
You laughed, tilting your head back as you let yourself completely indulge in the fun. Sirius was looking at you adoringly as you tittered, at the way your eyes would crinkle and your smile grew wide. He stared, shamelessly, until he heard someone calling for you from the side, he placed his hand over your shoulder and nodded to their way. You were still smiling when you turned to look at the direction Sirius was pointing at, it was Nina and Sybil.
“Hey, girls!” You said as you approached them happily, almost skipping towards them, Nina had a Gryffindor scarf on and Sybil was holding a pair of red and yellow flags in her hands “You’ll get jinxed by your house members,” you told them motioning to the Gryffindor memorabilia they had on.
“We’re not really close to the players,” Sbybil said with a shrug, of course she wouldn’t care.
“But we do know you.” Nina said with a smile “We brought you something,” she added before bringing her hand inside the messenger bag she had hung across her shoulder and taking out a blue ribbon. Something blue.
“For me?” You asked with a small smile.
“So you remember not all Ravenclaws are against you today,” Nina said. “Sybil says it’s for good luck too.”
“It is,” Sybil confirmed. “Why do you think ladies used to tie something on the lances of the men they liked before a joust? If a person who really cares about you gives it to you, it will be infused with a special kind of magic.”
“Well then, you may tie it wherever you want,” You said with a smile, walking a little closer to the girls, Nina was the one to attach it, lacing it through the thinner side of the chest protection you had on, carefully tying it into a neat little bow.
“I feel like I should say something…” she said with a little smile, you nodded, prompting her to speak “Oh fair lady,” she stated, in a very theatrical tone, even faking a strong Scottish accent “May this token of…”
“–Of affection,” offered Sybil.
“Of affection?” Nina asked with a frown, turning back to her natural voice. Sybil nodded fervently and Nina shrugged, clearing her throat before continuing “May this token of our… devoted affection… deliver you from all evil and take you to victory…” She turned to Sybil, who gave her a thumbs up, and finally, she pulled her hands from your chestplate, a little blush showing on her face.
You smiled, and leaned a little, “Thank you, my lady,” you said in the tone a true knight would, and then looked up at the two girls with a cheeky grin, still mid bow.
You got a soft punch from Nina on the arm “Don’t make it even sillier.”
“I’m not being silly!” you said in between laughs “I’m truly happy you came to support me today.”
Sirius finally came over and placed an arm over your shoulder, bringing you a little closer to him “Can you believe our little Starshine just got a lady’s favour?” He asked James, who was just a couple of metres behind “When have we ever gotten one of those? And from a pair of Ravenclaws nonetheless.”
“It’s for good luck,” Nina said reproachfully. “It’s her first match, don’t tease her so much about it.”
“It’s all right Nina,” you said with a cheeky little smile “Sirius is just jealous.”
He pouted, “Can’t I get a cute ribbon too?”
“Has to be given by someone who really cares about you,” Nina said casually.
“Auch,” Sirius said dramatically.
Nina opened her eyes wide “I didn’t mean that I didn’t ca…”
“He’s just teasing you luv,” you said reassuringly. “Here, lean a little closer,” you told Sirius, when he did, you placed a soft kiss on the corner of his lips. “How’s that for your lady’s favour?” you asked with a teasing grin. Nina averted her gaze from the two of you and Sybil gave her a sympathetic glance.
“Hm… Not sure,” Sirius responded “Might need it to be a little longer, for good measure, you know?”
Finally, Sybil cleared her throat “We’ll go find a good place to sit,” she said with a smile.
“Good luck!” Nina told you with a tight smile before turning to go.
You walked out of Sirius’ grasp and towards her and Sybil “Girls wait!” you said as you grabbed onto Nina’s shoulder “Thank you,” you said earnestly, “for everything.”
Nina smiled, seeing as how you had run to catch her “It’s nothing, really. We wanted to be here.”
“Yeah,” Sybil said, “You do your magic, we’ll be here, rooting for you.”
You smiled at the two of them one last time and they took off towards the bleachers. “Ready for the match?” Remus’ soft voice came from behind, startling you in a good way.
You turned to him and nodded “James had us warm up and even gave us a team spirit speech. It was inspiring.”
Remus caught the slight sarcasm in your tone and chuckled “You’ll be wearing that?” he asked as he motioned to your helmet still in your hand.
You nodded “Keepers are one of the main targets of the bludgers. James wouldn’t let me play without it. Merlin forbid something happens to one of his players,” he chuckled again, leaning down just a little to take the helmet from your hands and place it over your head “What are you doing?”
“Making sure James’ little star-keeper is as safe as she should,” He said casually as he fastened the straps under your chin.
“I was waiting until the very last minute to put it on…”
“Why? You get too hot with it?”
“Not at all, I just think I look like an egg,” you said with a pout.
Remus stepped back just a little, too look at you better “Well, I think you look cute.”
You laughed, and hit him on the shoulder playfully “Sure thing Rem,” you said dismissively, then you heard the blow of the whistle. “Game’s calling,” you said with a dashing smile before walking back to the pitch, Remus stared at your receding figure as you walked towards the pitch.
As you gathered around everyone you managed to see the rest of your friends walking over the bleachers to find a seat. Tom was wearing face paint, just like the rest of the girls, a few stripes of red and gold painted across their cheek. Lily had a banner in her hand that had a fierce-looking lion roaring, and it had written down the names of all the members of the team. Some other people in the crowd had reused the memorabilia from the race, so you even saw a couple of people wearing some of the pins with your faces on them.
Another blow to the whistle and you were walking alongside James to the centre of the pitch. “Captains, step forward!” Said a young Professor you hadn’t met before, but that you’d seen around meals, he must be the flying instructor, you thought. Both James and Lionel did as told, he turned to Lionel “Ready?”
“Ready!”
He turned to James and the boy responded “Ready!”
The teacher nodded, and then gave you a look “Keepers, positions,” he said. Both you and Lionel mounted your brooms and flew toward your places. The wind howled in your ears as you hovered in front of the goals. It was a cold day, and you were thankful you had so much protection gear on since it was enough to keep you a little warm, at least until the action started.
You saw the Professor release the snitch, you could see it glistening with the bit of sun that the clouds allowed to pass through, it circled around James and Holden, taunting them before disappearing into the air. Everyone mounted their brooms. The crowd cheered as the game was just about to start. The atmosphere felt electric and thrilling, the wind pushing you towards your hoops as you steadied your broom to maintain your position.
The Chasers jockeyed for position, determined to outmanoeuvre each other and score those crucial goals. Gale, Davis and Teddy were already in the position they had planned, and the three of them kept their sights on the quaffle that the Professor still held in between his hands. Sirius was flying close to James, while Marlene was flying just above you, ready to stop any bludgers coming your way, as James had instructed.
Marlene tightened her grip on her bat, and with another blow of the whistle the game finally began, the Quaffle soaring into the air in an instant. Gale flew straight to it, managing to size it in the air, and flew straight towards the other team’s goal. But after Sirius hit the bludger towards Lionel, Penelope Linwood, the other team’s beater, shot it straight at Gale, who had to pass the quaffle to Davis to out-manoeuvre the bludger that wouldn’t stop following him.
Davis took the ball and went for a shot, but Lionel managed to catch it just before it went inside the goal hoop to his left. The ball was with the other team, your heart pounded in your ears as adrenaline rushed through your body, you knew the quaffle could be thrown your way any minute now, so whatever you did, you had to focus. You felt the wind blowing even stronger, your broom moving with it a little more than you’d expect it to.
Sirius managed to catch up with Davis and batted the bludger away from him, launching straight towards the chasers of the other team, disrupting their formation and buying you some time. The way they were flying, one against the other, they were probably planning to corner you in between the three of them. One of them, a boy with short red hair, who flew like a lightning bolt to avoid Sirius’ bludger –and who you assumed was Adrian– was dogging absolutely everything and everyone as he flew straight at you.
You smiled confidently when you saw him throw a short glance at one of his chasers, a small girl with neat braids through her entire head. It was Cynthia, you realised, from one of your classes. They were going to faint. So even as you kept your head in Adrian’s direction, you made sure to keep Cynthia in your line of sight at all times. You saw the other bludger be beaten in your direction.
“Focus on your thing!” Marlene shouted, flying straight towards the bludger and batting it fiercely to Adrian, but he managed to dodge the ball and it started following the other chaser instead. The redhead was already reaching the zone, his move would be any second now. He smiled, pretending to throw the ball to the left hoop before throwing it straight to Cynthia. That had been a sick faint, but you had seen it coming, so you didn’t even bother going to the left and instead went straight to the direction Cynthia had thrown the ball, efficiently getting it in between your hands before it even got close to the goals. The audience cheered as you flew a little higher, trying to find Anne Davis. If she got the ball now, you were sure she’d get it across the field and through Lionel.
Once you spotted her, you plunged down and launched the ball at her when she was just a couple of metres away, continuing your way down before doing a sharp turn and going back to your goals. When the ball was in her hands she started dogging the bludgers, that seemed like they were only following her until Marlene flew straight towards one of them and threw it to Lionel.
Davis had to shoot the ball to Teddy for a second but he threw it straight back at her and she launched it toward the goal, Lionel wasn’t fast enough to stop it, and it went straight through. The crowd erupted in cheers. Anne was grinning as she went back to position. As everyone cheered you felt a strong jolt in your broom. You frowned and looked down, studying the broom as you steadied it. You squint your eyes when you feel it again, a lot weaker this time. You turned to the bleachers then, narrowing your eyes in case you spotted someone.  The jolt had felt exactly like the one that had thrown you and Sirius off your brooms a couple of weeks ago. You took a deep breath and tightened your grip around your broom. I’m not falling today, you thought before turning your eyes back to the quaffle.
The jolts didn’t come back, as if the person trying to throw you off the broom had given up on them completely, but your grip on the broom did not loosen at all, you had to keep your ward up, at all times now. The quaffle was now in Cynthia's hand, and she had thrown it to a strong-looking boy with a blonde fringe, their last chaser. He came straight to you, looking imposing since he was a lot bigger, perhaps as tall as Remus, but with a wider back, which made him look threatening.
Thank Merlin he’s not a beater, you thought. He came straight onto you, paying no mind to the bludger following closely behind him. You did not keep your eyes away from him until you felt a light hitting straight onto your eyes, blinding you from how bright it was. The blond boy did his shot and you weren’t fast enough, it went right through your right goal, there were cheers from the Ravenclaws, and groans from the Gryffindors.
You went to get the ball and threw it straight at Teddy, who moved further away with it. And you took the time to look around the bleachers, trying to figure out what the hell had blinded you when the light hit you again. You placed your left hand over your eye only to realise a very small dot of light reflecting on it, moving frantically trying to find your eyes again. “A mirror,” you whispered to yourself, “They’re trying to use a bloody mirror.”  You then remembered you had Sirius’ goggles, and placed them over your eyes, hoping the sun protection spell they had on them was enough. They were indeed! Just reflective enough to bounce the light off your eyes. You smiled, whoever was trying to sabotage you, and you had a pretty damn good idea who it might have been, would have a bloody hard time doing so.
Finally managing to focus on the game again, you noticed Sirius throw a hard shot towards the blonde boy, managing to hit just on the back of his broom and having him spinning out for a good minute before he managed to get back control.
“Brilliant Black!” you shouted from your spot, not so far away from him. He gave you a little wink, boasting for a good second before ducking as one of the other team’s beaters had thrown the bludger straight back at him. That made you chuckle just a bit, before you saw the same blond boy, doing a daring dive towards you and your goals. This time, when he shot, you managed to stop the quaffle with ease, even if the strength of the hit had you pull back just a little, the impact reverberating through your body as you held on tight.  You heard the Gryffindor supporters erupting into cheers, and you felt the same euphoric feeling you felt when you caught a snitch and ended a game back in your old school. With a graceful smile towards them, you sent the quaffle hurtling back into the game.
But Cynthia Abbot intercepted your throw and launched the ball straight onto your goals again. You threw yourself towards the quaffle again, but realising your hand wouldn’t be long enough to stop it, you did a sharp turn and used the back of your broom to bat the ball away from the hoops, accidentally sending it straight towards James’ head, who wasn’t looking. “Prongs! Watch out–“ you tried to warn him but it bounced off his head and Davis managed to size it, diving straight towards Lionel and the Ravenclaw post.
You flew closer to James, still keeping an eye on the quaffle as you did “You ok?” you asked preoccupied “I didn’t mean to–“
“-That was a brilliant save!” He said, turning to you with a smile, “Hurt a little though.”
You winced when you realised the boy was rubbing the back of his head, “Sorry…”
“I’m good, you keep up that amazing work going, don’t worry about me, all right?”
“Suddenly you saw a gold shine pass right in front of your eyes, and you followed it with a short gaze, before turning back to James “Did you see th–“ You didn’t even finish, you knew the answer when you spotted James’ wide grin and his hazel pupils following the snitch with precise movement, “Go get her tiger!” You said as he started flying in its direction.
“Back to your goals,” he said with a smile before flying off towards the snitch. You smiled as you saw him chase behind it, and flew back to your place, the Quaffle was still on your team’s hands, so you were relatively relaxed as you kept your eyes on James, who darted through the air, waving and looping through the players, dodging bludgers and following the snitch’s every move. Holden wasn’t too far behind him, but Marlene and Sirius were making sure he had many flying bludgers to dodge, both also protecting James, so he could reach for the snitch. You admired the way Marlene threw the iron balls at her boyfriend as if he was just some random seeker she had to throw off her broom.
Suddenly the ball was back with the chasers of the other team, Adrian darting towards you while one of the beaters from the other team batted a bludger straight to your face. You knew exactly what you had to do, James hadn’t had you practise handstands and pull-ups so much for nothing, so you went straight for it. Holding yourself up to allow the bludger to pass through as you hit the bludger with your leg, flipping yourself back into your broom with a sharp turn. The crowd cheered again, many had heard of the movement, but they hadn’t seen it, but that wasn’t the end, you dived straight down to catch the quaffle and flew straight towards Gale, passing it on his hands in a quick manoeuvre before flying back to the goals.
Gale, in turn, went straight to Lionel and shot, earning another 10 points for Gryffindor, which had the crowd of Gryffindor supporters standing on their feet as they cheered on for Gale, even you joined them, screaming “Thomas! Thomas! Thomas!” with one of your arms extended out in a triumphant first. He turned to you with a little smile, it was his first goal since he joined the team, he must have been feeling ecstatic, as much as you were whenever you stopped one of the Ravenclaw’s advances.
Time seemed to blur as the match continued, each passing second a testament to your teamwork and determination. The score remained close, both your team and the Ravenclaw had a hard time scoring. Aldrige had been a keeper since 4th grade, so it wasn’t surprising he was such a brilliant player. Which is why you felt a little triumphant at the fact you had stopped more of the balls shot your way than he had. Even if the blonde keeper had probably hurt your left index finger from how hard they had shot the ball one time. You had only cursed under your breath and shot the ball back to Teddy.
Sirius had seen it, and flew your way “You alright luv?” he asked, a little frown on his face.
“Sirius!” you screamed “Behind you.” The boy turned around sharply and barely managed to bat the bludger away from his face “Focus on your bludgers, not on me!” you told him sharply.
He gave you one last look before nodding and flying towards the bludgers. You took a deep breath, yes, it was nice to see him so worried for you, but he could’ve gotten hurt had you not been keeping an eye around you and drowned yourself in the stupid blue of his eyes, which wasn’t hard with the way he had stared at you. James was right, it was better to keep Marlene as your main defender instead.
Cynthia orchestrated a swift series of passes, bringing her team within striking distance of Gryffindor's goalposts. Your heart raced as you braced yourself for the impending shot, a deep breath as you focused your gaze on the ball and their faces, attempting to decipher exactly what it was they were going to do. And then she shot, sending the quaffle towards the hoop that was the farthest from your reach. You lunged yourself towards it, your fingertips barely grazing the smooth surface of the ball. You heard the crowd gasp, and then erupt in cheers as the ball ricocheted off your fingers and veered off course, missing the hoop by inches. When you realised you had managed to stop it, you were breathing heavily, and gripping onto your broom again, a lot tighter than you thought you were. Realising only after that you had almost fallen off your broom when you veered the quaffle odd course.
The final minutes of the match were a whirlwind of adrenaline and emotion. The Seekers soared, the Chasers battled, and the Beaters continued their relentless bludger assault. Every save, every pass, every point earned or lost had the crowd on the edge of their seats.
Marlene was hovering close to you as Sirius struggled to keep the bludgers away from James, and as soon as the quaffle was in your team’s hands, you flew closer to her “Go help Sirius!” you shouted.
“But I’m supposed to defend you!” she argued.
“Leave it, I can dodge, just make sure Prong’s fine so he can get the snitch!”
Marlene looked at you apprehensively, as if she was deciding whether it was a good or a bad idea “Trust me, Mars, I can handle them. They’re all over Potter anyway!”
She took one last glance at you and dove straight to James and Sirius, beating the bludger they had off course and towards Lionel. He managed to dodge by a millisecond and looked shocked when he realised he too had been left alone in the goals. The four beaters were all over the seekers, defending their own house and trying to throw the opponent off his broom.
The redhead chaser came at you again, the quaffle in his hand, one last attempt to score. He was thrilled when he figured Mars was gone and he placed his hand on his mouth, whistling effortlessly, one of the Ravenclaw beaters turned around and batted the bludger straight at you. At the same time, Adrian threw the quaffle in the same direction.
You tried to look at the score, but you were still way below the safe line. If Holden got the snitch, which you hoped wouldn’t happen, your team would lose. So you didn’t move, ready to take the hit of both the bludger and the quaffle at the same time. And you did, catching the quaffle first and using it as a shield to loosen the punch of the bludger, but the blow had been heavy, and even as you tried to stop it, the bludger’s momentum caused the quaffle to sink into your gut with such force that it not only took your breath away but pushed you back a few feet as well. You heard a choir of “Ooos” and “Ouches” from the audience, and you coughed a couple of times, using the same quaffle to throw the bludger towards the other side.
Sirius turned to you, a worried look on his face, James had been too focused on the snitch to notice. But he had the other two beaters on him.  “Focus on Potter!” you shouted, however you could, and he hesitantly turned back to James. You were sure it was going to bruise, it had been a harder hit than Barty’s, probably because it had been a bludger the one that pushed the quaffle into your stomach. Panting, you turned around and spotted Teddy just a couple of metres away, an expression of awe on his face, evidently impressed by your display of determination and slightly stupid bravery. You gave him a half smile before throwing the quaffle his way, “Let’s get another 10 points shall we?”
Teddy smiled at you and nodded, catching the quaffle and diving straight to the other side of the field, Gale and Anne easily following behind him and creating a formation, they were going to use one of the plays, and since the other team’s beaters were focused on James, they had the upper hand. A couple of passes and they managed to score.
Then there were cheers from all the Gryffindor supporters, but it wasn’t because of the points they’d just gotten, in fact, high above, at about the same time, James had lunged forwards and wrapped his fingers around the snitch. The game was over, the Gryffindor cheers were so loud, that they made you smile even if you still felt like you wanted to puke, from the stinging pain of the hit.
As you soaked in the cheers of the crowd, you knew that this victory was more than just a game; it was prove of how strong the Gryffindor team was now, how, even if you had so many new members, including yourself, the constant training and early mornings had been of good use. You smiled brightly as you finally managed to land back on the ground, heart still panting as you used your broom to hold yourself up.
Everyone was cheering, you saw the entire team wrap around James, and bring him up in the air as he held the snitch, the crowds still cheering in the background. You finally stood up, smiling as you tried to forget the sharp pain on your stomach and ran towards them, to cheer on. Sirius was the first one to approach you, placing his hands on the sides of your face and scanning it carefully.
“Are you ok?” He asked with a frown.
“Yeah, totally,” you lied with a half smile, but he saw straight through you and pulled you into a hug.
“Please don’t do that again, I wanted to drop the bat and go see what the hell had happened to you because of the way everyone gasped.”
“You didn’t see it?” You asked, pulling back to look straight into his eyes.
He shook his head “When I turned to you, you had the quaffle in your hands and were screaming at me to get behind Prongs again.”
You nodded, “It was just a hard blow, I’m sure people were just being dramatic–“
“–What the hell (Y/N)!” James interrupted. Shit, he knows. “You’re supposed to avoid the Bludgers, not get in their way!”
“Whoever told you, I’m sure they were exaggerating.”
“Lionel Aldrige came over to tell me I had the bravest keeper he’d ever met, that he’d never seen anyone try to stop the goddamned bludger with a quaffle! And that he wasn’t even sure he’d be able to do it himself!” James pretty much shouted.
“Is that what you did?!” Sirius asked, raising his voice at you as well.
“I had to– I had to stop the quaffle somehow.”
“We could afford to lose ten points!”
You shook your head “Not if you hadn’t caught the snitch, we weren’t 160 above them yet!”
“There was no way in hell you had the strength to stop the quaffle with your arms, that’s why we use bats!” Sirius argued then.
“Where the hell was Marlene anyway?” James chimed, pinching his nose.
“Covering for you, I told her to go, you had the beaters all over you, I was free.”
James stared at you in disbelief, “For how long?”
“The beater actually shot from where he was, still trailing behind you, the deacceleration from–“
“What deacceleration? It’s literally an iron ball!” James said, interrupting you again, he was clearly riled up.
“It was reckless!” Sirius said then.
“You can’t do it again!” James added.
“What if it’s all it takes to win a game?”
“I’d rather lose a game than lose a friend!”
You huffed, biting your cheek to avoid saying the retort that came to our mind, how James was being overly dramatic. But it would be useless, it wouldn’t change their minds. “Fine, but let’s just leave this subject behind, we should be celebrating not–“
“Are you ok?” You heard Remus ask from behind “The way the bludger pushed you back almost all the way into the hoops I–“
You sighed, just when you’d gotten James and Sirius off your back, “I’m fine! I’m not some delicate flower that can’t stand the hit of a bludger in the gut!”
“You think we’re worried because you’re a girl?” Remus asked, quick to catch on to why you were being so stubborn about it.
“Is that not it?”
“No, you dumbass! I’d be just as worried if Sirius had gotten hit by a bludger in the gut!”
“You would?” Sirius teased, “That’s so sweet of you Moons.”
You laughed at Sirius’ silly answer, “Fine, maybe it was a dumb thing to–“
“–it was,” Sirius interrupted, emphasising the “was”.
“Whatever, it won’t happen again, case closed, let’s go to the party.”
“Wouldn’t you like to see Madam Pomrey first?” Remus asked.
You shot him a look and walked towards the rest of the team, they were still cheering and celebrating along with their friends.
“She’s so goddamned hot-headed!” Sirius huffed as he stood next to the boys, watching you walk towards Marlene and Lily. You’d probably get a scold from them as well.
“Reminds me of you,” Remus added, looking at Sirius from the side.
Back in the common room, there was music and drinks and somehow even snacks for everyone as they cheered on. When Peter started talking about the things you’d done again, he and Tom had started a motion for you to be carried into the air for a couple of seconds, everyone agreed and you ended up in the air, being shoved up and down a couple of times before they finally let you down. They thought of you as a hero, and you felt like a rockstar. It was something you weren’t used to, but being cheered on by so many people was undoubtedly nice. Even if at some point you had to step away from the crowd and onto a quieter area of the common room, sitting down on the sofa and feeling the pain kick in as the adrenaline started to fade away.
Sirius was next to you a couple of minutes later, placing his arm over your shoulder and dragging you closer to him “With the whole bludger incident, I think I forgot to tell you how freaking amazing you were today on the game,” he said, mouth close to your ear as he spoke, “You barely allowed the Ravenclaws to get any points.”
You leaned into him too, allowing yourself to bask in the warmth he emitted, “You were brilliant too Puppy! No one got hit by bludgers on your watch.”
He turned to you, placing his hand on your waist, but you winced, and he looked at you with a shrug “Does it still hurt?”
You shook your head, not daring to open your mouth, and leaned in to kiss him instead. If it worked to distract him in the restricted section, I’d work to distract him now. But Sirius was hungry today, the adrenaline of the game and the fact that you looked so fucking good in those quidditch pants, had him feeling all sorts of things, so when he kissed back, you could feel the neediness on the kiss.
And he, oblivious to your pain, dug his hands under your sweater and tightened his grip around your waist, pressing his fingers to your warm skin. That had you wince again and he separated from you, his hand still under your shirt.
“It still hurts!” he said accusingly.
“Sirius, I’m fine,” you said, attempting to drag him back into the kiss, but he shook you off.
“I’m gonna lift your sweater, kay?”
“No, I’m–“ He did it anyway, only a little at first, but then a lot more when he realised.
“–Sweetheart, look at this!” he said reproachfully. You looked down, wincing as you saw the various shades of purple and green your stomach had gotten.
“I guess that’s why it hurts…” you muttered, with a little smile, trying to lighten the mood. Sirius just looked at you sternly. “Fine then, just don’t touch that area and then–“
“We’re going to Poppy.”
“But the celebration party.”
“Look at me straight in the eyes and tell me it doesn’t hurt.” You took a deep breath, looking at him and then averting his gaze, “Thought so.”
“I still wanted to make out,” you mumbled under your breath as you let him guide you toward the portrait, his hand neatly wrapped around yours.
“We can make out all you want once Poppy has checked up on you,” he told you, turning back to give you a small wink.
“Where you up to?” you heard Remus’ deep voice from the side.
“Sirius insists on taking me to the infirmary.”
“She has a terrible bruise all over her stomach,” Sirius added what you’d left out.
How did he find out? Remus wondered until it dawned on him. Right, they’re dating.
“It’s not that bad,” you tried to argue, but Sirius threw you another look.
“Mind if I tag along?” He said walking beside the two of you “I need to restock some of my medicine.”
Full moon must be soon, you thought “You don’t even have to ask Rem,” you said as you nodded for him to come along.

Training Wheels
It was the kind of spring day that seemed determined to remind everyone that life kept moving forward, no matter how many pieces had to be gathered along the way.
The park was bright with dappled sunshine, speckled by the shadows of tall sycamores and the occasional flurry of petals shaken loose by the breeze. Children shrieked in the distance near a playground, and a golden retriever chased its own tail like it had just discovered the concept of circular motion.
And right in the middle of the path, a small boy with hair as blue as the cloudless sky wobbled on a tiny red bicycle, his tongue stuck out in concentration and his eyes narrowed like a determined kitten.
Sirius sprinted behind him, hunched slightly, both hands hovering just inches from the back of the bike seat. He was grinning so wide it looked like his face might split in half.
“Alright, little wolf, keep your balance—don’t look down!” Sirius called, breathless but elated.
“I am keeping my balance!” Teddy shouted back, cheeks flushed pink with exertion.
Two steps behind them, Remus jogged with a hand to his forehead like he was either shielding his eyes or seconds away from a migraine. It was hard to tell.
“Watch out for the squirrel—Sirius, steer him left, he’s headed straight for—oh no—”
With a burst of speed, Teddy swerved. The squirrel darted, entirely uninterested in the unfolding drama. Sirius let out a victorious whoop as Teddy kept going, miraculously upright, pedaling harder now, caught between fear and exhilaration.
“He’s doing it!” Sirius yelled over his shoulder. “Remus, he’s bloody flying!”
“He’s not flying, he’s riding a bike in the middle of a park without a helmet, Sirius,” Remus muttered, trying to keep pace, his cardigan flapping behind him like a worried cloak.
“Details!”
It had been Sirius’s idea—of course it had.
“I’m teaching Teddy to ride a bike,” he’d declared one Saturday morning, appearing in the Remus' garden as if he were announcing a mission from Merlin himself.
Remus had blinked at him over the top of the Daily Prophet. “You don’t even know how to ride a bike.”
“Well, neither does he. We’ll learn together.”
Teddy, overhearing, had screamed in delight and nearly falling excitement.
Nymphadora—Tonks, now mostly answering to “Mum” and the occasional “Oi, Dora!” from friends who hadn’t gotten the memo, had just smirked and said, “At least take him to the Muggle park near my flat. There’s soft grass there. And other kids. He should be around other kids.”
So now here they were: three generations of chaotic family, attempting something normal in a world that still felt too strange, too sharp-edged, even years after the war.
Teddy veered toward a tree, yelped, and abruptly crashed into the grass. It wasn’t a bad fall—nothing broken except perhaps his dignity.
Sirius caught up and threw himself dramatically into the grass beside him. “That was spectacular! You looked like a Quidditch prodigy.”
Teddy giggled. “Do Quidditch players crash into trees?”
“Only the good ones.”
Remus arrived last, heart hammering and face pale. He knelt beside them, gently brushing twigs out of Teddy’s hair. “You alright, cub?”
“I’m okay,” Teddy mumbled, sitting up. “Can I go again?”
Sirius turned to Remus with a grin that hadn’t aged a day since 1977. “See? Resilience. That’s all me.”
Remus rolled his eyes but smiled despite himself. “Yes, I’m sure your reckless influence will do wonders for his lifespan.”
They helped Teddy up. The boy raced off to fetch the bike, leaving the two men standing awkwardly in the shade.
Remus folded his arms. “He really does look up to you.”
Sirius looked at him then, softer now. “He should look up to you. You’re the steady one. I’m just—”
“the godfather who insists on taking him to parks and nearly giving me a heart attack?” Remus finished dryly.
Sirius smiled. “Exactly.”
They stood in silence for a while, watching Teddy test the pedals again.
“He needs this,” Remus said after a moment. “Something normal. After everything.”
“Yeah.” Sirius’ voice was quiet now. “So do we.”
Remus glanced sideways at him. “You’ve changed.”
Sirius scoffed. “Please. I’m still the disaster you fell in love with.”
Remus didn’t say anything for a moment. Then, softly, “You were never a disaster. Just... a storm. And I’ve always liked the rain.”
Sirius turned to look at him fully. “Do you—do you think maybe—?”
Remus cut him off with a shake of his head, gentle but firm. “Not yet.”
Sirius nodded. “But maybe someday?”
“Maybe,” Remus said, watching Teddy push off again, a little steadier this time. “We’re both still healing. But… we’re walking forward. Together.”
“And occasionally sprinting after a six-year-old on wheels,” Sirius added with a grin.
Remus chuckled. “Right. That too.”
Later, after a few more falls and a triumphant full circuit of the park, they sat on a bench while Teddy devoured an ice cream as though it contained magical life-essence.
Tonks arrived to pick him up, her hair a cheerful pink today. She kissed Teddy’s forehead, ruffled Sirius’ hair, and bumped her shoulder against Remus’.
“How was it?” she asked, already clocking the grass stains and minor scrapes.
“Terrifying,” Remus said.
“Brilliant,” Sirius said at the same time.
Teddy gave a blue-tongued grin. “Can we do it again next weekend?”
All three adults looked at one another.
Tonks smiled first. “Only if Sirius wears a helmet too.”
Sirius made a face. “You’re all tyrants.”
But Remus was already pulling out his planner. “We’re free next Saturday.”
And just like that, a new tradition was born. Not built on war, or blood, or the past—but on scraped knees, laughter, and the promise of a new kind of family. One that kept moving forward, together.

Snirius Drabble: Haunted
I’m on the road at the moment so I wrote this on my phone. Hope I still caught all the spelling mistakes.
The rain was falling in a gloomy drizzle, painting the outside world a depressing gray. The occasional gust of wind lashed the water against the window, as if wanting to break the glass and drench the inside as well.
It didn’t have to dry this hard. The sitting room of Grimmauld Place might be dry, but the weariness had long sunk into every piece of furniture, the walls and even the floors. Everything was tainted. The people daring to step inside were no exception. Who dared to stay, try to make it home, would be overtaken by the darkness lurking within.
But still Sirius was here, no matter how many dark memories the place held, no matter how much it gnawed at his sanity, he stayed. He had nowhere else to go.
The world outside no longer had a place for him, as he was still stuck in a war that had already ended. The wizarding world was celebrating and rebuilding, but he was still in mourning, caught by the ghost of those that hadn’t survived. Those he has been unable to save, stuck in the in-between. Those he had only heard about after the war was over and the destruction of Voldemort had shaken the fundament of magic to the extreme till the Veil spit him out.
For everyone else years had passed, they had moved on from his death, had fought, built new alliances and were betrayed by others. For Sirius, only a moment had passed since he had fought Bellatrix and lost his footing.
The space he had once occupied in others' lives was gone. Harry still tried to include Sirius, but he was done with the war, wanted to be normal and start a family. He didn’t need someone who was flinching at every sudden move, who turned back to people that were no longer with them.
When Sirius was with him, Harry hurt. So to be a good godparent, Sirius let him be, only sending the occasional owl, so Harry knew he was alright. Even though he wasn’t.
All his friends were dead now. Remus being the last one to fall in the final battle. Hearing about that lose hurt. As had that Remus had found love and now had a child and Sirius had not been there to share the joy of it. He tried to visit Teddy once a week, be part of his life so he could tell him about his dad once he was bigger. But there were bad weeks when he didn’t manage to get out of bed and wouldn’t wish his presence on no one, least of all a child. So realistically speaking he saw the little munchkin once at most twice per month.
He was barely scrapping by, only kept alive thanks to the very dutiful house elf Harry had organized for him, who made sure he ate and drank at least something once per day.
Some days he asked himself why magic had deemed it so he returned from the other side. What purpose did he serve? Wouldn’t it be better if he had stayed in the nothingness, where pain didn’t exist?
He should close the blinds and move over to the fireplace and seek warmth before his thoughts got even more depressing thanks to the weather. But he didn’t. He stared into the rain as melancholy filled him.
He couldn’t, the mere five meters was too big of a distance to cover.
Instead, he looked into the rain.
Snape would have loved it. The weather would have matched perfectly with his dark vampire aesthetic.
But Snape wasn’t here to see it anymore, fallen in battle just like everyone else. Sirius shouldn’t care, should be glad that with this the Marauders had outlived their old school enemy. But he wasn’t. He caught himself thinking about the other when he least expected, his mind just coming to a screeching halt as memories overwhelmed him.
He couldn’t explain why, really. For most of their life they had antagonized each other till they landed on different sides of the war. And even when Snape had switched to their side and helped protect Harry, there had been nothing but mistrust and irritation.
Sleeping together in the aftermath of a violent fight didn’t just change things. Hate-sex was very much a thing. And what if Snape had sometimes left some Dreamless sleep during order meetings. He just wanted to make Sirius trust him, so he would drink poison without question one day when Snape had enough of him. And if Sirius played a prank on someone that accused Snape of still being a Death Eater, it had been just him wanting some fun. It was mere coincidence that it happen to get the person running his mouth.
So maybe they had moved past some of their childhood rivalry and were allays. But not friend, they were not even close to how he and Remus or even James had been.
But you didn’t get so hung up over a co-worker that you could barely tolerate. And it pissed Sirius off. How could he go days without the loss of Remus breaking him apart, but Snape crept into his thoughts every day. Even in death, the git still annoyed him.
Only he hadn’t been a git in his eyes for a long time. Calling him that, pissing him off, had been fun, but Sirius hadn’t meant it. Not in a long time.
Thinking back, it was properly his twisted way of flirting, making sure he had all the other's attention. Did he mention his childhood had been messed up and Azkaban had only made it worse? Who could blame him for being a total idiot when having a crush on someone for the first time? Or not realizing he had developed feelings until the other party had departed this world?
He was truly fucked. Especially since he didn’t know how to process his feelings with the other no longer here to scream at.
Life really sucked.
On the bright side, with everyone's death, there was no one there to judge him. Well, there was Harry. And Andy. And Ginny, since with her marriage to Harry she was now also his family and turned out to be a worse mother-hen than Molly. So maybe he was still being judged.
Maybe he should ask her for advice. Women were good with feelings and stuff right? Just because she married her first love didn’t mean she couldn’t relate to being heartbroken because the man you thought you hated all your life was actually someone you loved. Or maybe he should shove the feelings deep, deep down and never speak of it ever until he took the secret to the grave one day. Yeah, that’s a good plan.
Suddenly the hair on the back of his neck stood up as a shiver ran down his spine. The invisible hand of magic a heavy touch on his head. Something was happening. The old Black family magic tried to tell him something. Him, the family disappointment, because he was the last of the blacks that still carried the name.
He clumsily tried to search the magic. His heir training never went into such detail, and he was fully out of his element. The tingle in his mind got more intense as the family magic, bless its patience, repeated itself pushing him into the right direction.
Something had tipped off the wards. Which shouldn’t be possible. The only people that know about this place which he refused to get out from under the Fidelus charm, were the golden trio, Andy and Ginny, all people that had already access through the wards.
So how had someone managed to find this place? It was not as if Sirius had any human contact to anyone but them and as they were not the secret keepers they couldn’t share the location.
He should properly call for help. Or flee. That's what a normal person would do.
Instead, he was already halfway out the door, want in hand and curses on his lips. His fight or flight instinct was completely turned towards fight after spending so many years fighting a war.
Edging down the stairs, he avoided the noisy ones trying to catch the attacker unaware. All this caution was for naught as he froze, seeing the dark figure standing in the entrée way. He would have made an easy target for every curse or hex one could imagine, but all he got was a raised eyebrow.
Something he knew too well, something that had haunted his dreams for the last months. Something he thought was lost.
But here stood Severus Snape looking no worse for wear with a single red feather in his hand that reminded him of Fawkes. “Black, I see Potter’s story about your demise had been highly exaggerated.”
This fucker, as if he had any right to talk.

🎄 Sweet Dreams of Holly and Ribbon: Part 9 - 4 Days Until Christmas 🎄
Read in full || Part 1 || Part 8 || Part 10
“How much food do you have for Christmas?” Sirius asks over breakfast.
“Too much,” Lily says. “Enough to feed the street.”
“Okay but how much is too much?”
“No such thing as too much!” James chimes in and Lily rolls her eyes.
“The turkey is recommended twelve servings and we have more food than what will fit on the table.”
Sirius ponders a moment. “Okay, so hypothetically, if there were two last-minute guests, we would have enough? If one is Harry-size so that’s only half a portion.”
“Are you talking about Remus?” James asks.
“I did not say that.”
James grins. “You are though, aren’t you? You want to spend Christmas with him!”
“I especially did not say that .”
“I thought they were spending Christmas with his parents?” Lily asks.
“I mean, they were, but his mum’s come down with something so they can’t.”
Lily hums, “I mean I don’t see why not. We’ve got enough space for them.”
“Really?” Sirius asks, pointedly ignoring the way James is snickering at him because this doesn’t mean anything.
“Yeah, you’d like to see Teddy on Christmas wouldn't you Harry?” Lily says, turning to Harry at the last part. Harry, too engaged in playing with his cereal to be paying attention, simply nods eagerly when he notices his mum has asked him a question.
Since Lily isn’t at work at the moment, Harry doesn’t need to go to nursery which means no chance to catch Remus at drop off which means Sirius is sent into town to ask him about Christmas.
“Why can’t you just message him?” Sirius whines as James practically kicks him out the front door.
“Because this was your idea and that’s less romantic.”
“There’s nothing romantic about this situation! I am inviting him and his child round to his child’s best friend’s parent’s house because his holiday plans fell through!”
“Yeah but you want it to be romantic, don’t you.”
“I never said that .”
“You didn’t have to say it.”
Sirius just shoots him a glare and James’ grin softens. “It’s no bad thing if you do, Pads. He’s a decent bloke and you obviously care about him at least a little.”
“Well, even if I did it doesn’t matter, he doesn’t.”
“I think he does,” James says, suddenly very earnest. “I saw the way you two together at the fete, I’m not blind.”
Sirius lets James’ words play over in his mind as he makes his way to meet Remus. Because Sirius isn’t blind, he knows Remus is attractive - the way his lip quirks up and eyes sparkle when he laughs; or the way his brows furrow in concentration when he’s thinking or listening to Teddy explain something; or how the highlights in his messy curls catch in the light and he runs his hand through his hair.
And okay, so maybe he does have a bit of a crush on Remus, but it’s nothing more than that.
Remus looks up when Sirius enters the shop. He’s leaning on the counter, head resting on one hand and leaning over an open book.
“Did you forget another present?” he asks, smirking as he raises his eyebrow.
“Ha ha,” Sirius mutters as he sidles up to the counter. “Ye of little faith, Lupin.”
“Well, what can I help you with?”
“Maybe I just wanted to hang out with you,” Sirius counters.
Remus holds his gaze, matching his smirk and waiting patiently for Sirius to speak.
He swallows. “Whatcha reading?” He asks after the silence has stretched out.
Remus flicks the book over the show the cover - a scenic painting of a forest waterfall against the backdrop of mountains, with the ‘Fellowship of the Ring’ printed boldly across the top.
“Teddy's bedtime story is currently The Hobbit,” Remus explains.
“Kid’s got good taste.”
“I mean, he only picked it because our copy at home has a dragon on the cover.”
Sirius shrugs. “Valid reason, dragons are cool.”
Remus hums in agreement. He dogears the page and closes the book to give Sirius his full attention. “So,” he says
“So,” Sirius repeats,  “Christmas.”
“Christmas?”
“Well, since you're not seeing your parents, you could spend it with us, if you wanted.”
Remus blinks at him, “I wouldn’t want to impose or anything.”
“You wouldn’t be imposing. There’s more than enough space and food for both of you.”
Remus still looks a little hesitant, “I mean, if you want me there.”
“I want you there,” Sirius insists. “And so does James and Lily.”
A shy smile slowly breaks onto Remus’ face, one Sirius can’t help but mirror.

I saw the ask and I would love some recs for fireman!Sirius! Thank you for your hard work 🩶
You got it, friend! Thanks for the ask!
🔥 Fireman Sirius 🧑‍🚒
He's Too Hot (Hot Damn) by @NeonDomino Remus just can't seem to cook, and seems to set fire to everything. Sirius is the fireman that turns up each time to put it out.
A rocky rescue by BenettClaire It’s a truth universally aknowledged that if there’s something worse than being stuck in an elevator, it’s being stuck in an elevator with someone afraid of elevators. However, Remus is about to find its perks, too.
The One With The Boyfriend Cleanse by @curlyy-hair-dont-care Dateless on Valentine's day, Remus, Lily and Alice felt they were being haunted by the bad vibes of terrible exes and decided to perform a 'boyfriend cleanse' which might have gone wrong before it set things right.
How Teddy Lupin Became an Amateur Arsonist by moonscone When Teddy meets Sirius, he is immediately smitten. Sirius is cool, he's funny, and he's a fireman! Teddy would do anything to keep someone as brilliant as Sirius in his life. When Sirius and his Da seem to hit it off, the idea is only solidified. Teddy Lupin was going to make Sirius Black his second father, and nothing was going to stop him from achieving his goal.
BONUS: This fic features both of them fighting fires as part of the wizarding war, so not sure if it counts but am including it anyway.
Under a Strange Red Moon by @earlybloomingparentheses A breathy, high-pitched moan, and what is happening, it’s 8 a.m. in their kitchen, Remus is making toast, this is only meant to happen when it’s the middle of the night and they’ve just got back from patching up Muggles or putting out magically-set house fires or battling with a Death Eater who failed to Disapparate quickly enough from the scene of the crime, they’re meant to be frantic and desperate and—Sirius shoves down his panic and surges up to bite Remus’ lips, suck his tongue down his throat, and when are they not desperate and frightened these days?
The war is shattering their world into a million pieces, and Sirius and Remus try to hold themselves together.

Part 2
The night was a blur for both boys sitting at the end of the hall, Regulus was kind of numb to all of it focusing all of his attention on the door his brother was behind. He was partially aware that someone(Fleamont) placed tea and something to eat before him, but food was literally the last thing on his mind at the moment.
Effie still wouldn't allow them to see Sirius, and Regulus couldn't help himself but resent her a bit for it- he knew that none of it was her fault, but his hands were shaking with nerves and he just couldn't stop thinking. He must have fallen asleep at some point( he felt guilty afterwards), because when he woke up Jam-Potter was nowhere in sight. He tried to ignore tingling in his side where he was pressed against the older boy.
Potter had to write to Remus at some point of the night and Lupin sure weren't taking his time, showing up five minutes after the owl was sent. Regulus heard Potter and Lupin talking in hushed voices, every word laced in worry, Regulus felt bad for them, he couldn't even imagine the panic that would take over his brother if Remus got hurt, in any way. They were two souls in one body, they belonged with eachother, not on the opposite side of a wall.
He remembered how concerned he felt when Sirius came to him about his feelings for the Welsh boy, he was worried- he didn't want his brother to get hurt...again, but there was nothing to worry about really they are so sweet, so gentle with eachother. He couldn't imagine better person for his brother, Remus may look intimidating at first but really he's so respectful with anyone, so patient and calm and he contrasts Sirius so well, Sirius was loud and fill of energy and Remus... He was so calm and kind, willing to wait.
He wished to comfort the taller one but weren't quite sure... How, he didn't know how to comfort anyone, but he had to do something, Remus looked devastated and so closed into himself, he wished to get him out of his head. Potter sat on the other side of the youngest, all of them sitting in silence, drowning in their thoughts. And Regulus knew how scary could your thoughts be, could get. And really that was the last thing any of them needed.
So he started talking: "when we were little- he paused to get his breathing under check "well... Eh we didn't have had much toys, with all the ' You will not disregard this family with this nonsense' stuff. I'm- i'm pretty sure Sirius grew up without any toys well at least until i came along. He, he made me little teddy bears- sew them from his old clothes. I've kept the first one he ever made me."
"what is the name?" He got startled from his memories by Remus. He didn't know how, but somehow he forgot that they were there with him.
" Nara"

Sirius wakes to screams and jumping on his bed. “Dad!” They yell. “Daddy, wake up!” Sirius opens his eyes to see his son down by his feet jumping next to his sisters who are by Remus. Sirius looks over to his husband sitting up, arms crossed over his chest glaring at their children like they just interrupted his reading time, and they probably did.
“You’re supposed to be with your uncle.” Remus says to them, voice soft, but still an angry look on his face.
Sirius decides to sit up and Hermione comes to sit down in his lap followed by Violet between Remus and him and Teddy in Remus’s lap. Remus puts his arms around his son as Sirius did with their daughter. “They dropped us off.” Violet answers. “Said we were too crazy.”
“Never said that!” James’s voice comes from the other side of the door before it opens to reveal three more kids running in and jumping on their bed followed by James himself sitting at the end of it.
“Uncle Siri!” Rose yells, jumping on the bed and landing right next to Violet.
Remus glares at James and he just smiles back. “What? They wanted to see their uncle.”
“Doesn’t mean they should.” Remus answers as Mia sits down in James’ lap and Leo beside them.
“But it’s fun to watch you be tortured, Rem.” Regulus says, walking into the room and sitting by James as Leo goes to sit next to him.
Remus glares at him. “Alright, children. Let’s go get breakfast.” Everyone cheers and jumps up, racing down the stairs. Once James and Regulus are out of the room, Remus turns to him. “Bad start to the day?”
Sirius smiles at him and shakes his head. “No. It’s nice.” Remus leans over and kisses him before standing up to get dressed.
Once everyone is in the car, Sirius calls James and he answers on the first ring. “Where are we going?” James asks over the phone.
“Just follow us.” Remus says, starting the car.
“You sure you know where you’re going?”
“Yes, James. Just tell Regulus to follow us.”
“Who says I’m not driving?”
“You’re a bad driver. Of course it’s Regulus.” Sirius giggles at his husband’s response and hangs up the phone before a fight could break out.
“So, where are we going?” Sirius asks once they start moving.
“It’s a surprise.”
Sirius gasps once they park outside a restaurant. “Perkins!?” Sirius yells and reaches over the middle console to kiss Remus. Disgusted sounds come from the back and the two partners in the front laugh before stepping out of the car.
The six kids race to the doors and pull them open, Rose waiting for her fathers and uncles before closing it behind them and racing inside the other doors which Leo’s holding for them.
The breakfast was amazing to say the least, Sirius gets the same thing everytime, pancakes and bacon, he never mixes it up. He tried once, and it sucked, he was starving until lunch time because he couldn’t even eat a second bite of anything.
Sirius hums all the way back to the car, happy he got to see his brother for breakfast before they went on their way. “Happy birthday, Padfoot.” James says once they pull apart from their hug.
Regulus walks up to them once the kids are in their seats and buckled. “Happy birthday, Sirius.”
“Thanks for coming.” Sirius replies.
“James had to see you.”
James dramatically gasps. “I thought we agreed the kids wanted to see him? Rude.” Regulus rolls his eyes at his husband before walking to their car, followed by James seconds later.
Sirius gets in their car followed by Remus a few minutes later. “So, where to next?” Remus asks him.
“Home.”
“Board games!?” The kids scream once Sirius comes out of the hall closet with stacked games in his arms.
“We’re playing board games?” Remus asks, unamused.
“Well, if we have kids, might as well do something fun.” Remus rolls his eyes but sits down on the ground nonetheless. “What do you want to play first?” Sirius asks the kids once he’s sitting down beside Remus, games in the middle of the circle they formed.
“Candy land!” Teddy yells, grabbing it from the pile and a game piece from the coffee table. They had to buy an extra game piece for every game that only had four players. Family game night is when they usually play games, but Sirius likes the games so much, he tries to have game night more than once, but Remus likes reading more than games.
They play the games until their stomachs start growling and Remus goes to make dinner while the others play and even after dinner, they continue to play until the sun is down and the moon is up and it’s the kids' bedtime.
They groan as they walk up the stairs to their rooms, but they fall asleep quickly with how tired they were. After all the kids are asleep, Sirius drags Remus down the stairs and back to the floor to beat him at all the games. Of course Sirius didn’t win most of them, but Remus let him win some like he always does.
Sirius does his victory dance the whole night, even if he lost the games, he still won, because he has the most beautiful husband ever and the best kids he could ask for, even if they’re not always angels.

Is it just my mum or have your mums too stopped believing you when they walk in while you're crying and you say it's because of some dead gay wizards? Because she thinks something bad is going on and I don't tell her.
No mum there's nothing going on except that REMUS HAD TO TURN INTO A FCKING WEREWOLF SINCE HE WAS 5 AND ENDURE PAIN UNIMAGINABLE, SIRIUS HAD TO ENDURE PAIN SINCE HE WAS A BABY AND HAD TO GROW UP REALLY EARLY SO HE COULD LOOK AFTER HIS LITTLE BROTHER BECAUSE THEIR PARENTS DIDN'T AND THEN SAID BROTHER STARTED ACTING MEAN AND COLD AND AGREEING WITH THEM AND SIRIUS WAS SO FCKING SAD AND THEN HE ESCAPED AND LEFT HIS BROTHER BACK AND HE FELT GUILTY FOR IT AND REGULUS HAD TO STAY BEHIND AND THEN JOIN THE DE AND THEN HE SACRIFICED HIMSELF FOR THE GREATER GOOD AND SIRIUS NEVER FOUND OUT, HE JUST THOUGHT HIS LITTLE REGGIE WAS EVIL, OH AND THE FCKING "WHY DID YOU BURN THAT LETTER?", AND THE PRANK, REMUS BEING IN LOVE WITH SIRIUS BUT HATING HIM AT THE SAME TIME THUS HATING HIMSELF FOR STILL LOVING HIM AND SIRIUS HATING HIMSELF FOR WHAT HE DID AND FOR MAKING REMUS FEEL THIS WAY AND BETRAYING HIM, AND THE FCKING HALLOWEEN OF 1981, THEY ALL THOUGHT THAT THEY HAD MORE TIME, BUT JAMES DIDN'T, AND HE DIED, BECAUSE OF HIS OLDEST FRIEND, AND THEN REMUS BLAMED SIRIUS AND SIRIUS WAS SENT TO AZKABAN WHEN HE DID NOTHING WRONG AND THEY SPENT 12 YEARS APART AND HARRY HAD TO GROW UP ALL ALONE IN A HOUSEHOLD SO HOSTILE INSTEAD OF THE LOVING ONE HE WOULD BE IN IF LILY AND JAMES HAD LIVED, AND JEGULUS NEVER GOT ENOUGH TIME TOGETHER BC JAMES THOUGHT REG HAD GOTTEN THE MARK AND THEY BROKE UP AND VOLDEMORT KILLED DORCAS AND THEN MARLENE DIED TOO AND EVAN DIED TOO BY MOODY AND BARTY HAD TO WATCH THAT AND PANDORA DIED WHILE MAKING POTIONS THUS LEAVING LUNA WITHOUT A MUM AND BARTY, REMUS AND MARY WERE LEFT UTTERLY ALONE AND MARY COULDN'T TAKE IT SO SHE JUST OBLIVIATED HERSELF, AND BARTY HAD HIS SOUL SUCKED AND REMUS DIED RIGHT AFTER BECOMING A FATHER AND THUS LEAVING TEDDY THE SAME WAY HARRY WAS LEFT AND PETEY, THEIR FRIEND IS THE REASON FOR A LOT OF THOSE OUTCOMES.
So yes mum I'm bawlling my eyeballs out for some dead gay wizards. No nothing happend at school.
If I have forgotten a traumatic event please forgive me I didn't even intend for this to be this long
